Commercial Cleaning

Keeping your employees healthy is vital if you want to manage your workload and maximise productivity, and if the office is dirty, dusty and grubby, it doesn't inspire confidence or promote health.

Is your work place making you ill?

It might seem a bit of a strange question, but if your staff are always coming down with coughs, colds and other illnesses, you could consider the possibility that the soft furnishings might be a contributing factor to their symptoms. Look out for signs such as watery eyes, coughing and sneezing. If it’s not the middle of winter cold season (or hay fever season) and there's no apparent reason for the problem, ask people whether they feel better out of the office. If so, think about getting professional cleaners in, because it could be dust, spores or allergens deep within the carpets that are getting up peoples' noses.

Sick Building Syndrome

It’s not a myth; some buildings really do make you ill. Since the 1970s, researchers have been trying to work out why some buildings just seem to cause ‘sick building syndrome’ than others, and there’s not been any one definitive answer yet.

Humidity, poor ventilation and lighting are all potential causes, but also implicated are poor hygiene, and airborne particles like dust, carpet fibres or fungal spores.

Regular carpet, curtain and upholstery cleaning will help to eliminate at least some of the possible causes of inexplicable staff illness, which will also go on to boost staff morale, another factor implicated in high levels of staff sick leave. So it’s a win-win situation really.

Pleasant working conditions

Keeping your work place looking sparkling clean, getting rid of nasty moulds, dust and pollutants and generally making the place a nice place to be in will help to improve workplace morale. Staff will feel more appreciated and cared-about if you make sure that all of their working conditions are clean and fresh, and not just the meeting rooms or customer facing areas.

Keeping your office carpets smelling and looking clean will also give your employees a sense of pride in their work place, and encourage them to take more care of their own surroundings, making your investment in good quality carpets, curtains or upholstery for the office last that little bit longer.
It's so much nicer and healthier to work in a clean, hygienic place, and hiring a professional commercial cleaning company to take care of your work place cleaning requirements is something your work force will definitely thank you for.
